Day 15

– WE DON’T HAVE TO; WE GET TO

We realize that it’s a privilege to work with God in any capacity. We serve willingly. We show up with a smile and expect that as we build God’s house, miracles take place.

Reflect: Have you ever had to do something you didn’t want to do? How did you control your attitude on that assignment? The position and attitude of our heart matters to God in everything that we do. 2 Corinthians encourages us to give not grudgingly or out of necessity but from a cheerful heart because when we choose to operate from a posture of love and obedience it captures the heart of God. Jesus demonstrated the heart of a servant when he kneeled down with a towel over His shoulder to wash the disciple’s feet. All things were created by Him and for Him yet he gave us an example to live by. We don’t have to; we get to and yet we do it willingly because He first loved us.

Action:  Meditate on Philippians 2:3-4. Write down what stands out to you in these verses.
