Day 6

– Love One Another / Second Pillar of Discipleship

“By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

John 13:35 NKJV

Reflect: Love is the mark of a disciple. Though the world today defines love in hundreds of ways we need to first understand that love is the very essence of who God is (1 John 4:7-21). When God created mankind, he made us in His image. Therefore, we were created to love. As born-again believers, it’s the very essence of who we are because we carry the nature of the one who made us. Yet, the love of God cannot be exhausted. As we draw close to God and spend time with Him, we give him permission to change us, mold us, and transform us into everything He has called us to be. Disciples should be marked by the love of God for those around us to see.

Action:  Spend time in 1 John 4:7-21 and Ephesians 3:18. Write down some of the things that God brings to your attention or speaks to you.
